Cradle Mountain - Tours and Activities

Cradle Mountain itself is at the northern end of the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park. You need to be aware that you cannot reach Lake St Clair from Cradle Mountain without walking the Overland Track, a journey of at least 3 - 4 days on foot. Organised walks such as Cradle Mountain 3 Day Walking Expedition including accommodation and provisions in the Cradle Mountain area are available and are a very good way to see the natural side of the Park. Day tours such as Cradle Mountain National Park Day Tour from Launceston are well worth taking and offer a glimpse of the Cradle Mountain area for those not wishing to spend nights out in the open or in walking huts.
